Heer are slightly more details on how to sign up to the discussion. There are two parts to it: ezboard registration and requesting access to the discussion.
1. Ezboard registration
First you have to register with ezboard, setting up what they call a Global Account. To do this:
Go to Ezboard’s website at http://www.ezboard.com/ Click ‘Register and provide the details you’re asked for. Your username can be as obvious or obscure as you like. If you use a common name it’s likely someone has used it already so will be asked to try another. Unusual word combinations plus numbers can help!
Registration asks for personal details but none of this is shown in your board profile unless you select to make these things (like personal/work email, age and so on) available. Nobody can email you directly but users can (if you permit it) contact you through the discussion. These messages are stored in your control center along with your profile.
You can safely ignore advertising stuff and proceed to complete the process. When it is complete you will get an email to the address you were asked to give when signing up. You MUST respond to this or else your registration remains unvalidated and won’t work.
Once you validate you simply log in and go to the HCCF Discussion page again.
2. Requesting access to the discussion
The HCCF discussion page will show a message explaining Membership by Approval and a button to APPLY. Click it. You will have to wait until a moderator or administrator OKs your access. This may take a while. We aim to check each day and approve people. If you’ve used an obscure name and we think it needs to be verified, we'll send an email to that username (so check your Ezboard profile page just in case!) requesting more info. If you don’t hear anything contact Brian Hill direct on bhill@hccf.org.uk with the username you've chosen to use and we’ll approve it.
Once membership is approved you’ll get an email from the discussion and then when you go top the page you will have access. Happy posting.
