The Forum works with and on behalf of people who use Community Care facilities in the East Sutherland area and their carers to improve services they access.

Client Groups

The Forum works with the following Client Groups as defined in the Community Care Act (1990).

Older People including Older people with Dementia	People who are Homeless
People with a Physical Disability	People with Mental Health Illness
Children with Special Needs	People with an Addiction
People with HIV/AIDS	People with Sensory Impairments
People with Learning Disabilities
All of the above and their Carers

The Forum enables local people to play a part in the planning and provision of local Community Care Services This can be done in several ways - attend meetings, feedback from the ESCCF Newsletter, Web site enquiries, letter, fax and telephone.

The Forum network includes representatives from Health, Highland Council Social Work Department, Community Transport, Voluntary and community groups as well as users of Community Care Service and their carers.
