Community Care Directory of Services – 2002 –2003 edition available to all Service Users & Carers in East Sutherland

Alcohol Sub Group 2nd part of three-part study into the issues and concerns of alcohol and how it affects the daily lives of people living in Sutherland.

Joined-Up Counselling – postcards sent through the local newspaper asking if people need this type of service. Depending on response this initiative may develop.

A Service User has produced a logo for the Forum.

Working with North & West Sutherland Community Care Forum we have been commissioned by NHS Highland (Sutherland) to produce a Health Patient Information Booklet by April 2004 offering information on services available to specific client groups and their carers.

Sutherland Access Panel carried out an Access Audit of public use buildings in Sutherland – report available from the Secretary. We now plan to apply for funding to produce an Access Guide for Sutherland. We are now asked to carry out more access assessments on premises in Sutherland and the members of the Access Panel help compile report for owners.

We were to host the Highland Access Panels Gatherings meeting on Thursday 11th September 2003 – more info from Secretary.
